These remedial measures should have been taken earlier.

Three days before there was the attack on the police when two inmates of the jail were being relocated to some other jail. Possibly the raid was conducted to determine the cause of the attack.

Under the circumstances there should be regular inspections to ensure that no drugs are smuggled inside the jail premises.

Everyone else in Bangalore or in Karnataka seem to know how things are in the Jails\police stations and with police authorities. Only persons who do not seem to know are home minister, top cops and top jail authorities!!! They are unaware of any dubious activities taking place either in police force or within the jails.
Last time a prisoner escaped - they made big noise of taking the errant officers to task. Wonder what happened to the investigations.
Now it is found prisoners having all sort of things with them for communicating, tools for criminal activity, and narcotics (who knows, if they search well they may find service women\men too there some where inside the jail.)
Will there be similar investigation from Home Ministry\Top cops\top jail authorities? Will the erring people will be caught, punished and published in the news?
I doubt very much, why? if they do all top guys will have to be arrested along with some politicians too!!!
    Everyone is after money only...

This is reprisal raid on the inmates. As if Jail authorities\police do not know about the presence of mobile\ganja etc etc. which is supplied or allowed by them only!!!
Kyon public ko ullu banathe he ye police log!!
It is everybody's knowledge even the hardcore criminals lodged in the prisons go out of it during day time and return later. Photos of same were published in local news papers long time back.
If the inmates have attacked the jailors\police then it has to be about share of money for various clandestine dealings....between them.

    Police should question themselves?

*How Ganja,Mobile phones,Mobile Chargers etc going inside secured jail?

**How they allowed to re-charge mobile? who provides them plug-inn facility?

***How knives, blades etc reach to the undertrials without any hassles?

**** These things found even before one Judge visited the jail too.

***** Do they know one CIGARETTE sold for how much? can't believe..... 5 times more than a packet of cigarette,,, who makes this money?
****** If Ganja, A,P,CH,, so easily available inside jail ? what will be the situation outside jail? that too near the adjacent collage? anybody bothered about youngsters life?
    *******BIG QUESTION???*******

Who is responsible? Jail authorities or criminals for possession of drugs and weapons. This jail authorities are so corrupt that one of my friend was saying that he went to visit one person in Mangalore jail 2 years back and the plastic bags are kept at entrance and visitor has to put money in it and they are collecting a lot of bribe openly in the premises. The visiting duration is decided on the basis of bribed amount, and for one visit he gave Rs 500/ each on two gates just to handover his clothes to him. O God save our Mangalore for these corrupt people

It is undoubtedly some of the police men who are guarding the prison cell supplied all these ganja, knife, blade etc to the criminals who were doing some favor to the police by cash or kind in the looted things before they landed in jail.

Corruption from top head to the bottom. Conduct thorough investigation and check the CCTV footage for some clue and catch the culprits.

Unquote: First they have to question the police force individually to understand how it has come inside.
It is a nexus between police and criminals.
