Mangalore, May 31: The results of the Tulu drama competition, Dikh Tatti Bokka, organised by the Tulu Sahiya Academy have been announced. The competition was held from May 20 to 28.
A press release issued by the Academy stated that the first place was bagged by Saurabha artists troupe while Sharada Arts, Manjeshwar stood second. The third place went to Koddi Troupe, Perdur.
The individual awards for best actors went to Sunder Hegde of Saurabha Troupe and Chandrakala Rao for the roles of hero and heroine respectively.
Shivaprasad Poonja of Saurabha Troupe won the first place for the role of the antagonist in the play. R K Ullal secured the first place for direction while A Vijay won the first place for best music.
The awards will be presented at the Don Bosco hall here on Thursday June 1, stated the release. MLA Yogish Bhat will hand over the awards. The chief guests will be Fr Muller's Medical College director Fr Denis D'Souza and Anand Ganiga. The function will be presided over by Academy president M K Seetharam Kulal, the release said.
