'Pandavulu...' producers set for big splash overseas


Chennai, Jan 25 (IANS): Telugu family-drama "Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda" is slated for release Jan 31 and its producers are also planning to release it on alternate distribution platforms such as video-on-demand (VOD), online and mobile platforms too.

"There is a growing appetite for Indian films in the overseas market. Telugu films have a great potential to expand its market penetration in the international markets.

"We expect the growth to come from alternate distribution platforms, including theatrical-on-demand, video-on-demand and other forms of online and mobile distribution," said a statement from the film's producers 24 Frames Factory.

The idea is to tap the "growing market potential in a big way with our film".

"We expect the attention of international distributors, exhibitors, sales agents for Telugu film distribution in the global market to grow rapidly," the statement read further.

Directed by Srivas, the film features M. Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishnu and Manchu Manoj, who have also produced it.

Raveena Tandon, Hansika Motwani, Pranitha Subhash, Tanish, Varun Sandesh and Vennela Kishore will be seen in important roles.
