Belthangady, Nov 4: "The mission of this Ratha Yatra is to introduce the culture and traditions of ‘Sanathan Dharma’ and enhance the self-confidence, patriotism among youth," said Thyagishwaranandajji of Bangalore Ramakrishna ashram.
He was addressing at the public at a programme organized on behalf of the Vivekananda Ratha Yatra in Dharamasthala here on Saturday November 2.
Further he said that to mark Swami Vivekananda’s 150th birth anniversary, six Ratha Yatra’s were organized throughout the country. The Ratha which commenced from Bangalore on March 13 has travelled 8000 km in 23 districts.
"Vivekananda as a representative of culture and tradition had travelled worldwide and campaigned about the Hindu Dharma throughout the world. We should inculcate good habits and thoughts and also be a role model to society. We can build strong nation as once we unite putting all our indifference aside," he said
Dharmadhikar Dr D Veerendra Heggade in his address said “Youth have blindly followed the western culture. We should imbibe our own culture, tradition and ideology and its essence. When we go according to Dharma we can attain peace and happiness in life”
D Harshendra Kumar was also present on this occasion. N Ramakrishna Udupa,Trilokathmanandajji of Mangalore Ramakrishna Mutt thanked the gathering.
Thyagishwaranandajji visited the Ujire SDM hospital. Hospital CEO Manmath Kumar briefed about the hospital.
Heggade demands CBI inquiry
Dr Veerendra Heggade demanded the Chief Minister in a letter to handover the murder case of K Soujanya to CBI for probe into the matter on Saturday November 2.
"As it is known from media , a CID report has been already submitted to government. But people the area do not believe the investigation report hence a detailed investigation should be conducted in this matter," he requested.
The copy of the letter was also sent to MLA Vasanth Bangera.
