Mangalore, Mar 23: The disconnection of water supply to Fr Muller Charitable Institutions which triggered a battle between the institutions management and the Mangalore City Corporation reached the court of justice.

The Hospital, whose water supplies were disconnected by the MCC last month claiming that the institutions were drawing water from the main supply line without sanction has moved to the district court and have contended that they were not illegal users of water as an agreement was signed between the institution and the then Karnataka State Urban Water Supply Board.

Claiming that the institution has been regularly paying the bills to MCC, sources from the hospital has stated that the institution is an authorized user of corporation water. Further the fact that the MCC had snapped the water supply without any prior notice has also been condemned.

Following this move by the institution, court notices have been served to the Mayor and the Commissioner of MCC.
