Mangalore, Oct 1: “The district Congress Seva Dal will hold free medical checkup for general public and information camp for Seva Dal activists on October 3 and 4,” said H M Ashraf, district chief organizer, Congress Seva Dal.
Addressing media persons on Tuesday October 1, H M Ashraf said that the two-day medical camp and workshop will be held in Suratkal central ground on October 3 and Kavoor co-operative hall on October 4.
The inauguration will be held at 9 am on October 3 at Suratkal and valedictory ceremony will be held at Kavoor on October 4 at 5.30 pm.
“Several incidents have been reported wherein the police officials have not treated people who were in need. These incidents have taken place without the knowledge of the inspectors, and will be rectified soon as we now have their details,” he said stating that these activities takes place in stations like Puttur rural, Kadri and Konaje.
If such instances continue and people bring it to our notice, then we will fight for it and the same information will also be passed on to the home minister and DGP, he added.
Chinappa, secretary, Chandrahas Bhandary, Suratkal block organizer, Shashikala, Shekar Poojary, Prakash Rai among others were present.
