Kundapur, Sep 24: “The work of providing scholarships with the intention of a better future for children is really appreciable,” said district best teacher award winner Manju Kalaavara.
He was addressing the 6th scholarship distribution programme organized by Auto Rickshaw Driver-Owner Association held at Kundapur Labors Hall on Sunday September 22.
“We should cultivate tendencies like offering to society. Seniors and juniors should share equal responsibility. Provided scholarships should be utilized in the right way,” he said.
Ganesh Shetty Mollahalli, owner of Gold Jewellers, said there is education security for the children of auto drivers who work hard day and night and the work of CITU is really appreciable.
CITU Kundapur Taluk president H Narasimha said, “In the current scenario, people are losing the worth of human relations but students should emphasize on making relationships and concentrate on obtaining a good education.”
On this occasion, Divyashree and Dhanraj were honored for securing highest marks in SSLC examination. K Lakshman Barekattu, president of Kundapur Auto Rickshaw Driver-Owner Association, presided.
H Karunakar, honorary president, Kundapur Auto Rickshaw Driver-Owner Association, and Venkatesh, convener of student scholarship committee, were present.
