Bangalore, Aug 22: The state government is now like gasless soda, said C T Ravi, former state minister and BJP leader. The gas in the soda bottle escapes immediately when we press the glass ball to open the bottle. The government of Siddaramiah has become cold now similar to it, he said.
The enthusiasm that was found during the initial month has vanished. It looks as if it is mourning now, he said. The ministers are roaming around instead of coming to the Vidhana Saudha. This is a soundless government, explained Ravi.
Within a few days of assuming office, the CM made several promises and looked as if the work of fifty years will be completed in five years. But within a few days, it became like a gasless soda. The government has done no work during the last 101 days, he said in the press conference held on August 22, 2013.
The situation of grief that should appear during the last days of the government can be seen now. However all are busy in transferring officials. There is no break for it. It is going on for the last hundred days, he said.
Congress does not want to empower local groups. So no reservations have been announced in this regard. The minister of civil administration and urban development had announced that reservations will be announced in a week. Months have passed by but nothing has happened. How will he be keeping the promise in the future he questioned.
When our party was in power, we had reached a stage of offering workload after submitting tenders worth thirty crores in city corporations, fifteen crores in taluk panchayat limits and five crores in towns. The chief minister could not sanction the work due to restrictions of election code of conduct. But, Siddaramaih has received the file hundred days ago. He has retained the file by neither sanctioning the work nor rejecting it. Does the government face such helplessness? Or is it only for the chief minister? Besides that the deputy commissioners have been orally asked not to proceed with city development projects, which is wrong, he said.
The duration of honeymoon of the government is over but it is unknown why they lost the enthusiasm. It is not good to delay public development works. Let the government come on proper track and start working, he urged.
Let Ambareesh retain his ministership:
Minister Ambareesh is aware of the heroism of Narendra Modi. So he has spoken from his conscience. His position is in jeopardy because he spoke the truth. Ravi hoped that the officials will not lose their positions because they speak truth.
