Udupi, Jan 4: The Excise department seized spurious liquor worth Rs 3 lac during their raid on an illegal liquor producing unit at a house in Ambalpady on Monday.
The excise personnel found that the unit was producing Mysore Lancer Whisky, Original Choice Whisky and Old Monk XXX rum.
A total of 424 litres of spurious liquor, 225 litres of spirit, 10,000 fake labels and a sealing machine was confiscated during the raid.
The personnel have also seized a Maruti Omni which was used for storing the liquor at the house. The main accused in the case Ashok Kumar Kuthpady is absconding.
