Beltangady, Jan 4: Iqbal (27), son of Kasim M M, Janajagruti Vedike zonal president and a retired policeman from Malligemane, Killur, is reported to have lost his life in a road accident in Saudi Arabia.
He had been working as a tanker driver at Saudi Arabia for the last two years. The tanker that Iqbal was driving capsized at Jeddah after a brake failure. He died due to excessive bleeding.
Iqbal had married a girl from Bantwal five years back and is survived by a three year old son.
The family here has faxed their consent on Tuesday to conduct the funeral of the deceased at Madina. The father-in-law and brother-in-law of the deceased are also employed at Saudi Arabia.
