Kuwait: Tulu Koota Rasamanjari - An evening of enchanting music

Kuwait, Apr 20: Tulu Koota - Kuwait, for the 13th year in succession, organized "Rasamanjari 2013" on Friday, April 19 at 5 pm at American International School, Kamal Al Rayes Auditorium, Maidan Hawalli, Kuwait. This time Tulu Koota Kuwait geared up with its musical fiesta featuring renowned singers Akanksha Badami, Santhosh Venky and Dinesh Kinnigoli.
This was Tulu Koota's first mega event of 2013, held under the presidentship of Ramesh Kidiyoor. Tulu Koota successfully attracts larger audiences year after year through their top-quality programmes every year. The music-lovers enjoyed every moment of the programme.
The programme started with formal welcome by compere Rovita D'souza and Harish Bandari followed by traditional lighting of lamp by president Ramesh Kidiyoor and other members of managing and advisory committee. Welcome dance and prayer song were performed by Upasana Dance Studio after the speech of president Ramesh Kidiyoor.
The evening was filled with superb soul stirring music, songs, style and performances by visiting and local artistes to the tune of excellent musicians. Visiting singers Akanksha Badami, Santhosh Venky and Dinesh Kinnigoli along with local sinbgers Mohammed Rafi, Santhosh Kunder, Neelima, Poornima, Lolita Fronteiro, Amith Menezes, Suresh salian and Mubarak Rashid rocked the stage with choicest selection of energetic Kannada, Tulu, Hindi, Konkani and Malayalam songs. When Kuwaiti singer Mubarak Rashid sung Hindi oldies along with Mohammed Rafi and Santhosh Venki, whole crowd cheered to the maximum.
Dance by Break House Dance School, Dhoom Boys, Fusion Dance Academi, Semi Clasical and Ballerine’s were mind blowing. Lucy Aranha, Satish Acharya, Lional Mascarenas, Mahesh Poojari, Purandara Manchi, Nasir Puthyaveetil, Chandrahas Shetty, Victor Saldanha and Sathish Saldanha entertained the audience by their rib tickling jokes. Musical Jugalbandhi by visiting musicians was simply superb. Deepa Jayasheelan on keyboard, Rajgopal Acharya on guitar, Prakash Antony on drums and pad and Rajesh Bhagavath on tabla and dholak gave a perfect combination to the voice of singers.
During the felicitation programme, visiting artistes, local singers, dancers and sponsors were honored by flower bouquets and mementos. Fr Noel D’Almeida and H K Mohan, first secretary Indian Embassy Kuwait spoke few words appreciating TKK. Tulu Koota’s founder member and former committee member Jossy pinto Nantoor was given a farewell as he will be leaving Kuwait for good. He was honored with shawl, bouquet, fruits and memento. He spoke a few words of gratitude towards TKK. General secretary Wilson D’Souza delivered vote of thanks.
The programme was coordinated by Suresh Salian and well compered by Dinesh Acharya Kinnigoli, Harish Bhandari, Rekha Sachidananda, Rovita D’Souza and Manoj Kinnigoli.
