Mangalore: Accidents continue - Seven injured in two separate mishaps

Mangalore, Apr 4: Following in the spate of tragic accidents that have been reported on Thursday April 4, seven persons were injured in two fresh cases of accidents in the city.
A parked bus rolled down a steep ditch due to a fault in the break vaccum. The incident took place at around 2:25 pm in Kannagudda, Saripalla.
Of the five passengers, four jumped out to safety while the fifth passenger, identified as Violet, a resident of Kannagudda, sustained injuries
The bus Naveen Travels, with registration KA 19 B 4778 , fell on the left side of the road, but sources said that in case the bus had fallen to the right side of the ditch, calamities would have been extreme.
The bus plies on a daily route from Mangaladevi to Saripalla.
In another accident, an alto car plying from Jokatte to Arkula toppled near Adyar at around 12 noon.
The car was said to be over the speed limit. Six passengers which included the driver Mansoor, three ladies and two children, escaped with minor injuries and are being treated at the Indiana Hospital.
It is said that the group was on their way to attend a wedding at SSV hall in Arkula.
