Mangalore: MLAs were Under Pressure to Attend KJP Launch - DVS

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (PS)

Mangalore, Dec 17:
“Candidates from the BJP to the assembly election will be finalized taking into considerations the opinions of party leaders and workers, and half the numbers of candidates will be announced by January 15, 2013, while the procedure of nominating party candidates for all the assembly constituencies in the state will be completed within two months’ time," said former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda here at a press conference held at the party office on Sunday December 16.

BJP will hold a party workers’ meeting to prepare for the elections. Extensive tours will be organized to hear suggestions from the party workers.

On the internal commotion prevailing in the party, DVS stated that all confusions were cleared on December 9, when Yeddyurappa officially launched KJP at the Haveri convention.

Out of the 14 MLAs, 6 MLCs and 2 MPs participating in KJP convention at Haveri on December 9, he said that all of them expressed their helplessness and were under pressure to attend the launch. “However the party high command will serve the show cause notice to them”, he said.

He took Congress and JD(S) to task and said that opposition parties failed to function as they could not move ‘no confidence motion’ but resorted to create chaos during the sessions.

“Both the opposition parties believed that trivial confusion and weakness of BJP in the state could be turned into their strength, however they failed in doing so,” DVS said.

He also lashed out at the Congress party and said that clash between G Parameshwar and Siddaramaiah was in the open.

Asked on the possibilities of his aspiration to contest from Puttur constituency, DVS said he has not thought of it yet. However, he would abide by the party high command's directions.

As a MP of Mangalore long back what good things have you done for the constituency?
Both your BJP and Yeddi's KJP will be routed out from the next assembly election in 2013.I hope Congress Party under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi will catch the power in Karnataka and Siddaramaiah will be the next Chief Minister of Karnataka

It is high time BJP appoints DVS as the party President. Throw out a couple of hard core Yeddy loyalists. The rest will then return home. Yeddy will be isolated and at best remain a thron in the flesh. He has ruined not only BJP but State's administration for too long, just because of his greed for power.
