Mangalore, Dec 4: Deeksha, a student of Sacred Heart High School, Kulshekar won the first place in high jump, first place in long jump and second place in triple jump events held during the state level sports meet held at Chitradurga.

Owing to her achievements, she has now been selected for the national-level athletics meet.

Deeksha, daughter of Thimmappa Moolya and Jayanthi hails from Neermarga.

She is being trained by Flavia Pais, physical director, Balakrishna, Milagres High School Physical director and encouraged by headmistress Sr Cecilia Mendonca.

    There are so many Deekshas in our district and state who need to be encouraged and coached to win big. It is not easy for anyone to win the first place in two events and a second place in the third event on the same day. Deeksha is surely an athlete to watch who should be coached and you can surely hear about her in the years to come. Well done Deeksha and here's wishing all success if you intend to be a top athlete of our country. Good luck to you and all those who are supporting you including your school.
