Bantwal, Dec 2: 'Sangeetha Lahari' was organized in the premises of the Dentadka Shree Vanadurga Temple near Kedila, here, on Saturday December 1.
Students of the Ninaada Musical Art School performed a morning to noon session, after which the artists of Mysore Akashavani’s well known classical singing troupe captivated the music lovers in the evening.
The programme was organized by the Ninaada Musical Art School to commemorate its decennial and annual day celebration.
The programme was inaugurated by Jattannakodi Sundar Bhat, Dentadka Temple renovation committee president, by lighting the auspicious lamp along with other dignitaries, P G Bharathi, Vijayaganesh, Shyam Prasad Shastri, J Shankar Bhat and others.
Malini Mohan and Prema Leela Bhat accompanied with the violin and Shyam Bhat Sulya and Master Eshwar Sandesh Shastri on the Mrudanga performed at the musical programme held in the morning by the school students.
Vidwan T G Gopalkrishnan on the violin, Vidwan Kanchana A Eshwara Bhat on the Mrudanga, Vidwan V S Ramesh Mysore on the morsing played beautifully accompanied by singer M Raghavendra Bellary in their classical music programme.
Every year the Neenada School celebrates its anniversary by organizing such musical concerts for the past decade and this year, it is the decennial celebration of the school.
