Kasargod: Jackfruit Fest Begins at Mogral-Puttur Higher Primary School

Kasargod, Jun 15: Mogral–Puttur Higher Secondary School organized a three-day jack fruit fest, to create awareness about various delicacies that are prepared out of jack fruit, on Thursday June 14. 

ZP president P P Shyamaladevi inaugurated the fest at Mogral–Puttur Higher Secondary School on Thursday morning.

Mogral–Puttur gram panchayat president Gafoor Cherangai presided over the programme.
 
District education officer Krishna Aggittaya, DIET principal C M Balakrishnan, headmaster K Ramesh, OP M Mohammed Rafiq, the school’s parents’–teachers’ association president P B Abdul Rehman, Mujib Kambar, Faisal, S P Salahuddin, and M Surendran were present on the occasion.

Jackfruits of different sizes and varieties were displayed at the school, with the intention of educating the students and the general public. Delicacies such as ‘papadams’, chips, and pickles were prepared and displayed at the venue. Arrangements were made to prepare varieties of delicacies using 400 jackfruits and distributed to the students and locals during the three-day jackfruit fest.
