Mangalore: Youth Congress Distributes Free Books

Mangalore, Jun 10: Under the leadership of Praveen Chandra Alva, members of Mangalore South Assembly Youth Congress distributed books and umbrellas to the poor school children here in Ambedkar Bavan, Jeppu on Saturday June 9.

Speaking on the occasion, Ivan D’Souza, congress leader said that congress has always supported students who want to pursue education. He said that education is a must to everyone. He lauded the efforts of district youth to help the poor students.


Picking some of the programmes introduced by the congress party, UT Kadar also encouraged education.

Nagendra Kumar, TK Sudhir, Vijaylakshmi , Nagendra, corporator and other senior party leaders were present during the occasion. Members of youth congress Chethan Kumar, Lathif Kandak, Girish Shetty, Ashith Pereira, Vijay Lobo, Krithan Kumar were also present.

As many as 150 students of class I to class VII received the books and umbrellas.
