A public meet that was organized by SSF at Nehru Maidan here was disrupted.

It is hoped that the rains would ease the water crisis in the city. The municipal council has been judiciously supplying drinking water to the people in the city limits every alternative day, as the water level in Thumbay dam has been depleting since a few weeks threatening acute water shortage.
It also rained briefly in the city at around 2.30 am on the same day.
