Mangalore: Breakthrough in Puttha Murder Case - Police Arrest Three

Mangalore, Mar 20: In a major breakthrough, police on Tuesday March 20 arrested three persons in connection with the recent murder of Abdul Rahiman alias Puttha.
The arrested are Imran (22), Ismail (51) and Zakir Hussain alias Jacky (25), all from Kannur here.

The Kankanady rural police team led by circle inspector Ravish Nayak traced them to Farangipet from where they were rounded up and produced in the court. They have been remanded in judicial custody till April 3.
The prime accused, however, is still at large and hunt for him is on, sourced said.
It may be recalled that Puttha was brutally attacked and killed by a gang of four on March 13. Internal rivalry was said to be the cause for the murder.
Puttha had eight criminal cases against him in Ullal, Pandeshwar and Kankanady rural police stations. He was recently released on bail, and was in fact warned of a threat to his life.
