Mangalore: Speeding Truck Rams into Students, Two Girls Injured

Mangalore, Mar 20: Two students of Sahyadri College were injured when a VRL truck rammed into them outside the college at Adyar near here on Tuesday March 20.
The accident took place at around 6.45 pm.
The two have been identified as Nagalakshmi Bhandary, a resident of Panemangalur, and Jenifer from Bantwal. Of them Nagalakshmi is said to be critical.
The accident occured when the two girls, both students of second year students of engineering, were waiting for the bus outside the college. A speeding VRL truck, while trying to overtake a bus, lost control and hit the two girls. Two other students who were waiting at the spot luckily escaped unhurt.
Nagalakshmi was rushed to Omega hospital while Jenifer has been admitted to Father Muller in Kankanady.
A case will be registered in Kankanady rural police station.
