Ajman: GMU to Honor Leading Gynecologists of UAE

Ajman, Mar 7: In support of the International Women’s Day, observed on March 8, Gulf Medical University (GMU) and Women’s Health Centre at GMC Hospital will be honoring five leading gynecologists from all over UAE.

The Health Communications Division of GMU in association with GMC Hospital will be hosting a national conference on women’s health on March 30 at GMU Campus, here.

“Our endeavor is to recognize the contributions made by doctors in their specialty and highlight their achievements”, said prof Manda Venkatramana. She said, women are peace builders and with equality at the peace negotiation tables and governing bodies of their countries they will build a more peaceful world. Empowering and investing in women has been shown to significantly increase productivity, reduce hunger and malnutrition and improve livelihoods. And not only for women, but for everyone.

This event is open to all the doctors who wish to nominate themselves or get nominated by their institutions for the prestigious award. “This is a token of our appreciation towards the contribution by the doctors and we wish to make this a regular and an annual event”, announced prof Manda Venkatramana.
