Doha, Mar 1: Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) is all set to host the third annual floodlit cricket tournament from March 7 to March 16 at Old Ideal Indian School Grounds.
The group fixtures for the tournament were drawn during the gathering which was held at Maaza Restaurant, yesterday. Participating team captains, team managers and KSQ organizing committee members were present.
Genereal secretary, Deepak Shetty initiated the meeting and president of KSQ V S Mannangi welcomed the gathering. Mannangi also informed the gathering that legend G R Vishwanath, a former captain of the Indian team will be guest of honour for this year's edition and he will be present during semi-finals and finals of the tournament.
Sports secretary Anil Boloor briefed the tournament details and read out the rules and regulations of the tournament. Dr Sanjay Kudari, vice-president and chief coordinator of the tournament and S K Naidu handled the questions and answers session. KSQ officilas also announced a "Champions Trophy" for the very first time consisting of winners, runners-up of KSQ tournament and 2 teams consisting of the best performers selected by the organising committee of KSQ. It will be held after the tournament gets over.

The results of the group fixtures are as follows:
Chidanand of Pallonji Qatar and ALMA are the main sponsors for the tournament. The matches will commence at the Ideal School Grounds on March 7. All the participating teams are requested to be present on time for the grand opening ceremony at Old Ideal Indian School Ground on March 7.
The match schedule would be announced after the opening ceremony.KSQ has appealed to all the cricket lovers in Qatar to come and watch the spectacular tournament and extend their whole-hearted support to the participating teams.
