Bantwal, April 23: Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik has condemned the horrific act carried out by Pakistani terrorists in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Speaking to reporters in Sornadu, he expressed his outrage over the tragic incident, in which innocent tourists lost their lives. The terrorists reportedly asked the victims’ religion before opening fire, specifically targeting Hindus, which Nayak described as the ultimate act of brutality.

In his statement, Naik said, "In this shocking incident, innocent tourists have lost their lives. The terrorists first asked about the victims' religion and then opened fire on Hindus. This is the highest form of cruelty and barbarism. I pray for peace for the departed souls and hope that the families of the victims find the strength to endure this immense grief."

He pointed out that Kashmir, often referred to as a paradise for tourists, continues to attract visitors from across the country. However, such vile and despicable acts of terror only serve to remind the nation of the terrorists' monstrous nature. "The militants have once again showcased their inhumanity through this act. Tourists from across the country visit Kashmir, a place known for its natural beauty, but such despicable actions tarnish its image," Naik added.

Nayak further emphasised that the NDA government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken bold steps to curb terrorism in the region. He noted that this attack clearly indicates the frustration and desperation of Pakistani terrorists, who are increasingly losing ground in the face of India's firm stance against terrorism. He expressed confidence that the central government would give an appropriate response to this heinous act.

"The central government stands with the families of the deceased, and all necessary efforts are being made to ensure the recovery of the injured. I also have full faith that the government, under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, will take all necessary measures to restore peace in Kashmir," said Naik.
