Ed Sheeran, Weezer join Coachella 2025 lineup as surprise additions

Los Angeles, Apr 6: This year’s Coachella festival has thrown in a few surprises, adding global pop sensation Ed Sheeran and rock band Weezer as last-minute additions to its star-studded lineup.

According to Variety, both artists will take the stage on separate Saturdays, performing in nearly identical time slots at the Mojave tent. Weezer will perform on April 12 at 3:10 pm for a 45-minute set, while Sheeran is slated to play on April 19 at 3 pm, with a full hour-long performance.

The addition of these two acts came alongside the festival's release of official set times, which also cleared up questions surrounding the headline performances. On Saturday nights of both weekends, Green Day and Travis Scott who share headline billing will perform in succession. Green Day will hit the stage from 9:05 pm to 10:45 pm PT, with Travis Scott scheduled to start his late-night set at midnight.

On the other two nights, the schedule is expected to wrap up earlier. Lady Gaga will headline Friday nights with her set beginning at 11:10 pm, while Post Malone will close out Sunday nights starting at 10:25 pm.

Despite the exciting last-minute additions, some previously announced artists have had to cancel. FKA Twigs bowed out due to visa complications, while Brazilian star Anitta withdrew in March citing personal reasons.

Festival organisers shared the updated schedule on social media, generating fresh buzz just days ahead of the highly anticipated music and arts event.
