St Agnes College hosts ‘LinkedIn career kickstart programme’ to empower MBA & MCA students

Mangaluru, Mar 27: The PG department of business administration (MBA) organized a guest talk titled 'LinkedIn career kick start programme' for all 1st and 2nd year MBA and MCA students on March 26, at the Seminar Hall, Centenary Block of St Agnes College (Autonomous).

Priyadharshini K and Jayavarshini R, renowned career strategists and LinkedIn experts, were the resource speakers for the session. Esteemed guests like Panchajanyeswari M Achar, HOD of the MCA department and Sheryl Preethika, HOD of the MBA department graced the occasion. Athmika from 1st-year MBA introduced the resource speakers to the audience.

The programme covered the following key points:

• Building a strong LinkedIn profile

• Optimizing your profile for job searches

• Personal branding and networking strategies

• Effective resume and cover letter integration

• Utilizing LinkedIn for career growth

• Engaging with industry leaders and recruiters

• Leveraging LinkedIn learning for skill development

The session aimed to educate students on the importance of LinkedIn as a professional networking tool and how to leverage it effectively for career opportunities. Priyadharshini K and Jayavarshini R shared insights on building a compelling LinkedIn profile, improving visibility to recruiters, and engaging with industry professionals.

They emphasized the importance of a well-structured profile, strong headline, and strategic networking to attract potential employers. They also guided students on content creation, resume integration, and active participation in LinkedIn communities.

The discussion highlighted the impact of a well-maintained LinkedIn presence on career advancement, offering practical tips on job searching, networking etiquette, and professional branding.

Students actively participated in the interactive session, asking insightful questions and sharing their thoughts on LinkedIn’s role in career building.
