Mangaluru, Mar 10: St Agnes PU College, celebrated International Women’s Day 2025 on March 8 with great enthusiasm and fervour, aligning with the global theme ‘Empower every woman: Equality, progress, inclusion'.

The male faculty of the college organised a thoughtful programme to honour the women staff members. Ritesh expertly compered the programme, keeping the audience engaged throughout.

The celebration began with a beautiful prayer song, ‘Carry your candle', conveying the inspiring message that ‘there is a candle in every soul’ and encouraging everyone to ‘hold out the candle and go light the world'.

Ashwin welcomed the gathering and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the female staff for their dedication and hard work.

The men staff added to the festive atmosphere with a song and a dance performance.

Fun-filled games and activities kept everyone entertained.

The personalised gifts that they received, made the women staff members feel truly valued and appreciated.

The celebration was a testament to the strong bond between the staff members and the commitment of the institution in promoting gender equality and mutual respect.

The programme concluded on a gracious note with Raina proposing the vote of thanks.
