Mangaluru, Jan 4: The Mulki police have arrested Kishore Kumar, who had been absconding for 24 years in connection with a case of trespassing, property destruction, and issuing life threats. The case dates back to March 22, 2000.
As per the complaint filed by Sudhakara Bhandary, a resident of Kallagudde, Kilpady village, Kishore Kumar and Ashoka allegedly trespassed onto his property, felled trees, and issued threats to his life. Following the incident, Kishore Kumar remained at large, evading court proceedings. A Long Pending Case (LPC) warrant was issued against him during this period.
Based on a definite tip-off, Mulki police station PSI Anita H B, along with PCs Vasudeva and Sandeep, arrested Kishore Kumar on January 3, 2025. He was subsequently produced in court.
The arrest operation was conducted under the guidance of city police commissioner Anupam Agarwal and directed by DCP Siddhartha Goyal and DCP K Ravishankar. The initiative was led by North ACP of Mangaluru Srikanth and Mulki station inspector Vidyadhara D Baikerikar.
