MrBeast, T-series end rivalry, subscribe to each other’s YouTube channels

Mumbai, Dec 10 (IANS): The longstanding feud between YouTuber MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) and the Indian film production company and music label, T-series, has come to an end with both of them putting aside their differences and joining hands.

MrBeast, who is the world's most-followed YouTuber, met Bhushan Kumar, the Chairman and Managing Director of T-Series recently.

The US YouTuber flew to India with a proposal for Kumar. He said, “If you subscribe to me, I will subscribe to T-Series”. A proposal to which Kumar readily agreed and pressed the subscribe button. He then asked MrBeast to return the favour. However, the YouTuber pulled Kumar’s leg, and promised to hit the subscribe button once his phone recovers from drained battery. Moments later, he also subscribed to T-Series cementing the collaboration with the label.

Talking about the same, the YouTuber said in a statement, “The creativity and passion of Indian creators and fans are on another level! When I visited India, I was blown away by the energy and how much people love YouTube. Being on the Top Creators list is such an honor—it’s amazing to see my videos connect with such a big and enthusiastic community. YouTube is incredible because it helps me share my crazy ideas with people all over the world, and India is such a big part of that”.

“I’m especially proud of how language dubs and collabs with Indian creators make my content more accessible to everyone. I want every viewer, no matter where they’re from or what language they speak—to feel like they’re part of the journey”, he added.

Earlier, T-series was also in contention with the Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie as both the channels were competing neck to neck. However, T-series eventually overtook PewDiePie in terms of subscription.
