Mangaluru: Yenepoya Pharmacy College transforms bus stop wall into awareness board for public

Mangaluru, Nov 23: Yenepoya Pharmacy College NSS programme officer, NSS volunteers, artist and owner of the bus stop transformed bus stop wall into awareness board on ‘blood and organ donation’.

Wall of a private bus stop at Manjanady owned by gram panchayat vice president Haji P S Athaulla Parthipady got a makeover with a messages that emphasize the lifesaving importance of blood and organ donation after considering the thought 'wall painting at public places can significantly benefit the community' which was proposed by Yenepoya Pharmacy College NSS programme officer Mohammed Asif Iqbal, members Prajitha Biju, Dr Treesa P Varghese together with Manjanady Grama Panchayat member Abdul Basheer.

Messages were painted on the wall in both Kannada and English on Saturday November 16 with artist from Manjanady teaming up with NSS volunteers from Yenepoya Pharmacy College, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) Mangaluru. Team members are thankful to bus stop owner, university authorities & NSS office, college principal for their permission and support in completion of this activity that not only spreads awareness but also foster a sense of community and responsibility.
