Beltangady: Deepavali celebrated at Holy Redeemer English Medium School

Beltangady, Nov 2: The festival of lights, Deepavali was colourfully celebrated at Holy Redeemer English Medium School on Oct 30 The festive vibe filled the air, while the lights of diyas gave a sweet glare.

The programme was well organised by the students of class 8, 4 and 2 under the guidance of teachers Saritha Rodrigues, Anitha and Sumithra.

The celebration began with lighting the lamp. Graceful prayer dance added more charm. Words of welcome from students Sancia D'Souza and Aradhya of class 4 were warming.

Varija, cluster resource person, Beltangady was the chief guest. Correspondent Fr Walter D’Mello and headmaster Fr Clifford Pinto were present.

Nushaifa of class 8 narrated the significance of Deepavali. Entertaining dance, drama and singing by the students added more beauty to the celebration.

Chief guest addressed the students and told the background of Deepavali. Correspondent gave a message to be bold and bright like a shining light.

Students of class 2 Anvitha Bennis and Angeline D’Sa proposed the vote of thanks. Students of class 8 Shravani and Vania D'Souza compered the programme.
