Mangaluru, Sep 10: Carmel School, CBSE, Kotekar held the celebration of the "Season of Creation" in the school to create an environmental consciousness among students. The event was graced by the presence of Sr Pramila AC, the principal, Sr Anitha AC vice-principal and coordinators Sr Ashwina AC and Roopa.
The programme began with a meaningful prayer service connecting oneself with the divine, set a reflective tone for the occasion. This was followed by the unveiling of the logo of the season of creation by the principal, accompanied by the other dignitaries.
The significance of various elements, such as the butterfly, water, a sapling was highlighted through a captivating display.
The students of class 8th B showcased their commitment to environmental protection through a special dance performance, emphasising the importance of caring for the planet earth.
Addressing the gathering, the principal urged everyone to join hands in making the school a ‘plastic-free campus’ and encouraged the students to participate in various competitions held as part of "Season of Creation".
The programme was elegantly hosted by teachers Prafulla and Janet, who also extended gratitude in the vote of thanks, bringing the event to a meaningful closure.
