Udupi, Aug 28: The annual convocation of NITTE University will be held at the NITTE Off-Campus Center on August 31.
Prof M S Moodithaya, vice chancellor of NITTE (deemed to be university), Mangaluru, addressing the media at a press meet on August 28, said, “NITTE University will host its 14th Annual Convocation for its NITTE Off-Campus graduates on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the Sadananda Auditorium, NMAMIT, Nitte, Karkala.”
“A total of 311 graduates will receive their degrees during this convocation, which includes 29 from Master of Technology programs, 120 from Master of Computer Applications, and 162 from Master of Business Administration. In recognition of academic excellence, the university will also award three gold medals and fourteen merit certificates to outstanding students. NMAM Institute of Technology, Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management, and Dr N S A M First Grade College became part of NITTE University in 2022 as part of its first Off-Campus Center. This is the first batch of students from the NITTE Off-Campus Center graduating from the university,” said Dr M S Moodithaya.
The event will be presided over by N Vinaya Hegde, chancellor, with the convocation address being delivered by Umesh Govind Revankar, executive vice chairman of Shriram Finance Company Ltd.
The event will be attended by several distinguished dignitaries, including Prof M Shantharam Shetty, pro-chancellor (hospital management); Vishal Hegde, pro-chancellor (admin); and Prof M S Moodithaya, vice chancellor, who will deliver the welcome address. Other university officials, including Dr Gopal Mugeraya, vice president (technical education); Dr Harsha Halahalli, registrar; Prof Prasad B Shetty, controller of examinations; the heads of the constituent colleges; and members of the executive council and academic council, will also be present.
The press meet was attended by vice president (Technical Education) Dr Gopal Mugeraya, registrar Dr Harsha Halahalli, controller of examinations Prof Prasad B Shetty, principal Dr Niranjan N Chiplunkar, and Sudheer, director in charge of the Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management.
