Bengaluru: Presidency University felicitates Prof Dr U T Ifthikar Ali

Bengaluru, Aug 24: Presidency University felicitated Prof D UT Ifthikar Ali on being appointed as the chairman of the allied & healthcare Council Karnataka, established under the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP).

Dr Ali, a renowned educationist, healthcare professional, sports enthusiast and social activist. in his new role, will be responsible for overseeing all allied and paramedical course colleges across Karnataka.

Honouring his achievements, Dr Nissar Ahmed, chancellor of Presidency University, reflected upon the time when Dr Ifthikar Ali, relentlessly worked for the people of Karnataka during the covid pandemic. The vice chancellor Dr Anubha Singh spoke about Dr Ifthikar's contribution to the field of both education and health sector and how he will now be even more instrumental in bringing about a change for the betterment of the society. Salman Ahmed, vice president of Presidency group of institutions warmly congratulated Dr Ifthikar and wished him well in the journey ahead.

The felicitation ceremony became extremely special for Dr Ifthikar, Ifti, as he is lovingly called, due to the presence of Dr Muhammed Abdul Hakkim Azhari, well known scholar, educationist and managing director of Markaz Knowledge City, Calicut. Dr Azhari graciously attended the felicitation ceremony and gave his blessings to Dr Ifthikar.
