Mangaluru, Aug 19: St Agnes PU College and The Agnesian Alumni Association jointly organized a career guidance program, Career Expo – 2024’, for second-year commerce students and their parents. The event commenced with a prayer, seeking divine guidance and blessings.
The programme aimed to provide valuable insights and expert advice on various career paths and opportunities. Lovina Dorothy D'Souza, lecturer in Commerce, skillfully moderated the panel discussion.
The five speakers shared their expertise and experiences, enlightening the audience on diverse career options and the skills required to succeed:
- Gerard D'Souza emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation in today's business world.
- Dr Charles Lobo, a seasoned government official with experience in the postal department, shared his insights on the role of government services in shaping the economy.
- CMA Dipthi Padhi shared insights on cost management and its impact on business profitability.
- CA Daphny D'Souza discussed the role of chartered accountants in shaping the financial landscape of organizations.
- Advocate Ancita Pinto spoke about the growing demand for legal professionals in various industries.
The programme was compèred by Teena S Dsouza, lecturer in commerce, who ensured engaging experience for all attendees.
Principal Sr Norine D'Souza and vice principal Sr Janet Sequiera graced the occasion with their presence, underscoring the importance of career guidance in shaping students' future.
