Mangaluru: St Aloysius holds pledge taking ceremony against drug abuse

Mangaluru, Aug 13: In accordance with the guidelines from the ministry of social justice & empowerment, all educational institutions, states, districts, and public institutions across the country are required to take a pledge against drug abuse, as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan initiative.

In alignment with the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan initiative, the drug preventive cell of St Aloysius (deemed to be university), Mangaluru, has taken the lead in organizing this pledge against drug abuse, as well as implementing preventive measures.

Dr Roshan Monteiro, the coordinator for drug addiction preventive cell of the university took the initiative to organize this pledge-taking ceremony. The event was held on August 12, in the LCRI Hall. Students and staff actively participated, committing themselves to say no to drug abuse and to support preventive measures within the university.

Around 500 students of the university took the pledge against drug abuse as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan initiative.
