Media Release

Mangaluru, Jul 27: The birth anniversary of St Anna was celebrated with grandeur at St Ann's Community College, Mangaluru. The event began with a holy Mass offered by Fr Richard, Capuchin.

In the subsequent cultural program, Sr Nirmala, the chief guest, spoke about St Anna and emphasized the importance of incorporating her five virtues—silence, prayer, charity, simplicity, love, and respect—into daily lives. To further engage the audience, a quiz centered around these virtues was conducted, and Sr Nirmala commended the winners for their knowledge and enthusiasm.

Sr Vinuta, the principal of the college, also shared insights about St Anna. The event was graced by Margaret Monteiro, a former Carmel teacher, as an esteemed guest. Teachers Assumpta D'Souza, Shereen, and Pratibha participated.

The celebration featured a variety of performances, including a skit depicting the life of St Anna, along with dance and other cultural presentations. Bharati skillfully conducted the programme, while Sara delivered the vote of thanks, bringing the event to a heartfelt conclusion.
