Mangaluru, May 10: As a part of the Student-Exchange programme, the team from St Aloysius Gonzaga School visited Istituto Leone xiii, a Jesuit School in the city of Milan, Italy, from April 26 to May 6.
Led by principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ and accompanied by vice-principal and international collaboration coordinator Aparna Suresh, Class XI and XII coordinator Deepa Karkada, and seven students of Class XII, the team was warmly received by Istituto Leone xiii.
During their visit, the team engaged in various activities including lesson observations, group discussions, and familiarization with the school's facilities. Moreover, they had the opportunity to explore the vibrant culture of Milan and its renowned landmarks such as the Duomo Cathedral, famous cities; Venice, Verona, Como, the Polytechnic University of Milan-Wind tunnel centre and spend time with Italian families.
The trip provided students with valuable insights into the city's education system, cuisine, and lifestyle, fostering cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the two institutions.
