Kundapur, Mar 22: IMJ Science and Commerce Institute, Moodlekatte, along with Iqum sports forum of the college presented 'IMJISP Premier League 2024' successfully.

The inaugural function of this tournament was held on March 18,  at the college's indoor stadium and was inaugurated by Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, Brand Building Director of the institution.

A cricket match was organized for the students and a throwball match was organized for the female students and 13 matches each were held in the league style match. 5 teams each participated in the cricket and throwball tournament. Advaita, Chanakya, Vasishta, Agastya and Valmiki teams participate in the men's and women's categories. In the men's cricket tournament, Agastya team won the champion title and Advaita team bagged the second title. Agastya's Anvith won the Series Best Award, Advaita's Dixit won the Best Fielder Award, Chanakya's Sanit won the Best Bowler Award and Vasishtha's Ashvit won the One Man Show Award.

Chanakya's team emerged as the champion in the women's throwball competition, while Agastya's team won the second prize. Agastya's Nirosha Kharvi bagged the Man of the Match award and Chanakya's Rakshita Shetty bagged the Man of the Series award.

Principal Dr Pratibha Patel Vice Principal  Jayasheel Kumar and Physical Director  Praveen Kharvi appreciated the smart planning skills of the students in the closing ceremony.
