Mangaluru, Feb 29: Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM) held 'Ankur 2024', the official academic launch of its 25th batch of MBA students on February 27 at the institute campus in Bondel, Mangaluru. The programme was inaugurated by Vittaldas Leeladhar, former deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India and mentor of Besant Institutions. Manel Annappa Nayak, president of Women’s National Education Society (WNES), presided over the function.
During the ceremony, 70 students who achieved a distinction score of CGPA 7.5 or higher from Mangaluru University in MBA semester exams were awarded institute scholarships of Rs 2500 each, totalling Rs 1.75 lac.
In his address, Leeladhar shared success mantras for achieving career success. "Humans alone can achieve the impossible. A will to win will enable you to accomplish what you may have deemed impossible. Be ruthlessly self-disciplined and visualize your success. Compete with yourself, not with others, and, importantly, avoid sabotaging yourself due to fear of success or self-imposed obstacles," he said.
Jeevandas Narayan, secretary of WNES, Raghava Kamath, member of the governing body of the institute, and Dr Molly S Chaudhuri, the institute director, were present.
Sanath Bhandarkar, assistant professor, extended a warm welcome. Archana Kamath, Assistant Professor, delivered the vote of thanks, while Sathvika Shetty, assistant professor, anchored the programme. Suresh Shenoy served as the staff coordinator for the event.
