Mangaluru, Feb 23: The mortal remains of a youth, resident of Someshwar, who was missing since Monday, were found on Thursday February 22 evening in Netravati river.
The deceased is identified as Gautam M (30), residing at Mooda Extension of Someshwar. He was working as a seizer for a finance company.
According to reports, Gautam had attended the Punar Pratishte and Kalashabisheka Horekanike of Babbuswamy Daiva in Thokkottu on Monday evening. However, upon returning home late at night, an altercation ensued, prompting Gautam to leave the house. His prolonged absence prompted his family to file a missing person report with the Ullal police station.
Tragically, Gautam's lifeless body was found in the Netravati river on Thursday evening. The authorities, specifically the Pandeshwar police, swiftly initiated investigations and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Gautam's family members assisted in the identification process and were present during the post-mortem procedure.
Gautam's personal history reveals that he had experienced marital difficulties, including a previous divorce. Additionally, reports suggest he struggled with alcohol addiction and frequently engaged in disputes with family members over trivial matters. He is survived by parents and two brothers.
