Udupi, Feb 21: The department of computer science and engineering (CSE), Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal is organizing a national supercomputing mission sponsored FDP on high performance computing from February 21 to 24 at MIT Manipal.
This FDP is organized in association with Center for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Pune, Walchand College of Engineering (WCE), Sangli. The inauguration programme was held on February 21, with Prof Shivakumar Sastry, pro-vice chancellor, Dayanand Sagar University, Bengaluru as the chief guest and Cdr (Dr) Anil Rana, director, MIT Manipal as the president. Dr Krishnamoorthi Makkithaya, head of the department, CSE department, MIT Manipal welcomed the gatherings. Prof Shivakumar Sastry in his inaugural speech congratulated the organizing team for conducting the FDP.
Dr Anil Rana in his presidential remarks, stressed on lifelong learning for all the new age professionals. Dr Neelima Bayyapu, associate professor, CSE department, MIT Manipal and Dr D B Kulkarni, professor, WCE, Sangli are the coordinators of this FDP. Prof Deepthi S was the master of the ceremony and the programme concluded with Prof Ashwath Rao B delivering the vote of thanks.
