Mangaluru, Feb 16: Alwyn Stephen Misquith, assistant professor, department of economics, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, awarded PhD degree from Mangalore University for his thesis titled, 'Women Workers in Informal Sector: A Case Study of Dakshina Kannada District'.

He was ably guided by Dr Jayavantha Nayak, head of the department of economics, University College, Mangaluru.

He is the proud son of Basil Misquith and Cecilia Misquith of Kallamundkuru, Moodbidri.
