Moodbidri, Jan 27: Carmel school held a poignant Republic Day celebration on 26th January, marking the 75th anniversary of India adopting its Constitution. The event commenced with a heartfelt address emphasizing unity, freedom, and reflection on our nation's core values. The chief guest, respected principal, and dignitaries made a grand entry, led by the talented band students.The ceremony featured a soul-stirring prayer song by students of grade 7 echoing patriotic fervour, symbolizing the unity in diversity that binds us as a nation. Dignitaries, including the esteemed Chief Guest, Sir Dinesh Range, Forest Officer of Moodbidri, were warmly welcomed, highlighting the significance of their presence on this momentous occasion.
The Principal, Sr. Gracilda, extended a special greeting by presenting the Chief Guest with a potted sapling, signifying growth, sustainability, and the nurturing of our democratic principles.
A symbolic gesture unfolded as Sir Dinesh Range inaugurated the flagpole, underscoring our collective commitment to the ideals of the Republic. The subsequent flag hoisting ceremony, executed with great pride and reverence, embodied the essence of our nation's sovereignty.
As the tricolour unfurled, hearts swelled with pride, resonating with the National Anthem and Patriotic song that unified everyone present.The event's chief guest, Sir Dinesh delivered an inspiring address, underscoring the day's importance. He encouraged the students, emphasizing that the future of the nation rests in their hands and urged them to strive for making our country one of best country.
Sr Gracilda bestowed a symbol of profound respect upon the esteemed chief guest, expressing heartfelt gratitude for his invaluable support and assistance in advancing the school's mission. Rienna hosted the event, while Jacob James expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks.
The cultural program unfolded in the school hall, where students of grade 4 extended prayers for the country's well-being and protection, emphasizing values of equality and peace. The gathering was warmly welcomed by Vivel and Dylan. The distinguished presence of Principal Sr. Gracilda, Sr Preena, the Vice principal, Sr. Elena, the Administrator, Sr Ranitha and Sr Rosy,the coordinators added grace to the occasion.

Deepa and Telita for orchestrating this remarkable program, and sincere congratulations to the brilliant Grade 4 students for their outstanding performance. Outstanding achievers in the Mathematics Talent Examination were honoured and celebrated for their exceptional accomplishments.
Jessica and Rhea confidently compered the cultural programme, Priyona and Rhea proposed the vote of thanks.
