Beltangady: Bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha visits Anugraha Institutions

Beltangady, Jan 23: The president of the Catholic Board of Education, Dr Peter Paul Saldanha visited the institution on January 20. He was given a grand welcome by the Anugraha School Band, which was followed by the floral welcome offered by the Anugraha guides.

The programme began with a prayer dance. There was an audio-visual presentation of the school report. The winners of the national level spell bell competition Viron D’Souza and Swaroop Krishnaand the national level karate players Mohammad Rayyan, Mohammad Fazim and Nishan H Poojari were honoured.

The bishop in this address, advising the students said, “For life we need wisdom. We must use our wisdom and protect the living beings." He appreciated the students for their best performance in various activities. He ended his speech by saying “There is a light in you make it shine”.

Prabhakar Shetty welcomed the gathering. The correspondent Fr James D’Souza, principal Fr Vijay Lobo, Fr Trishan, secretary of the bishop, Antony Fernandes, vice president of PPC , Ashmitha, Smayan Jain, School leader were present on stage. Vinayalatha compered the programme.
