LS expels Mahua for 'unethical conduct' in cash for Parl query charge

New Delhi, Dec 8 (IANS): The Lok Sabha on Friday expelled Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra as Member of Parliament for 'unethical conduct' in 'cash for Parliament Questions'.

Meanwhile, before announcing the expulsion of Moitra, the Speaker requested every member that they need to prepare the question themselves.

"No one can put the question on behalf of the MP, I am speaking on record. I am the Speaker and it is my responsibility to maintain the dignity of the House," he said.

Moitra was expelled following the Ethics Committee report recommendations accepted on voice vote.

However, Opposition members walk out of Lok Sabha as House votes to expel TMC MP Mahua Moitra for 'unethical conduct'.

The House was then adjourned for the day till 11 a.m. on Monday.

The expulsion of Mahua Moitra will come back to haunt the BJP! "... The committee can't recommend the quantum of punishment. It can only decide whether an MP can be punished or not. The house today functioned as a quasi-judicial body, giving justice or punishment to a Member of Parliament" — Political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla

You can chose to target opposition leaders whilst your in power. Remember power is not eternal and for sure once the current government is out of power then the people who are so ‘proud of their country’ will run for safety. Only time will tell.

One of the many western attempt to malign PM Modi through Adani group by Hindenburg has been flat faced by US court earlier this week. Now , another west educated brilliant lady attempt to sully Indian progress and stride towards self reliance has been taught a lesson. The arrogant lady thought she is above law ! Just imagine sharing Parliment website ' log in' and user ids with some 'friend' . Come on. She could not convince a single Industry leader from west or India to set up an industry in West Bengal . Did she? What good her degree and job profile do to help employment starved West Bengal .

So what’s stopping PM Modi to speak in the parliament and take questions on Adani in the parliament, why is he shying away if really and trully US court has ruled against Hindenburg report??.?.Why was Moitra prevented from her right to speak in defence and present her innocence which would have exposed BJP to the core and its nefarious mottos. Why was this case bundled up in half hour in video voicing and the speaker clearly saying no one should question about Moitra on her behalf. So what type of judiciary is this following saffron constitution??.?.?
