Mangaluru, Nov 17: In a spirited celebration, brimming with zest and enthusiasm, Carmel School radiated joy and reverence on November 17 as it marked the establishment day of the Apostolic Carmel in India .The meticulously arranged event, ignited by the zeal of the committed members of the Carmel Blossoms Club, under the adept guidance of Sr Premal AC, commenced with a vibrant and thought-provoking prayer service, setting an electrifying tone for the entire day.
The commemoration continued with heartfelt expressions of love and gratitude as students from Carmel Blossoms brought Mother Veronica's life to the forefront through a series of captivating skits, dances, and soul-stirring songs. The vibrant performances reflected not only the artistic prowess of the students but also their deep admiration for Mother Veronica's legacy.
Sr Lilly Pushpa, the principal, delivered an inspiring message as she delved into the essence of Mother Veronica's teachings. As a distinctive addition, she engaged students in a lively spot quiz on Mother Veronica, providing deserving students with the opportunity to showcase their knowledge and rewarding them with prizes and then eloquently elaborated on the three fundamental values that Mother Veronica epitomized an unwavering faith in God, a passion for education and empathy for the less fortunate.
The celebration reached another milestone with the release of the first edition of the school newsletter, Carmel Spectrum. Dr Sr Prem D'Souza, the administrator, Sr Lily Pushpa, the principal, and Sr Premal, the vice-principal, along with Cynthia, Deepthi, Ashish and Mahesh, jointly inaugurated this groundbreaking publication by cutting the ribbon. The newsletter promises to be a source of information and inspiration for the Carmel School community.
Infusing an element of sophistication and style into the event, the dynamic duo of Sarah and Riyona skilfully hosted the entire programme. Their captivating commentary breathed life into the celebration, ensuring that every moment of the establishment day became a lasting memory etched into the hearts and minds of the audience.
