Beltangady, Oct 2: Holy Redeemer School holds Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti on October 2nd. To mark the birth anniversary of our great leaders, a simple programme was held to uphold simplicity.

Sanvi of class 10 welcomed the gathering gracefully.

The programme began by a prayer session of Sarvadharma prarthana. Readings from Holy scriptures and singing bhajans made the event very serene. Floral tribute to the potrait of the great leaders was paid by the headmaster, staff and school pupil leader.

Mohammad Shammas of class 9 spoke about Mahatma Gandhiji and Viola D'Souza of class 8 spoke about Lal Bahadur Shastriji and their achievements beautifully. Headmaster Fr Clifford Pinto addressed the students wisely. Rishel D'Souza of class 7 proposed the vote of thanks. The entire programme was compered by Thrisha of class 8. To make the day more meaningful, Swacch Bharath cleanliness drive was held to clean up the school campus. All staff and students were involved in making the day successfull. The celebration came to an end by savouring refreshments.
