Mangaluru: Elders’ Day celebrated at St Agnes PU College

Mangaluru, Sep 27: The students and teachers at St Agnes PU College celebrated ‘Elders' Day’ on September 25. All were blessed and happy to have the presence of the students' grandparents as audience on the occasion.

The programme commenced by invoking God's blessings through a prayer song followed by a floral welcome to the grandparents. Seetha K, retired administrative staff of St Agnes PU College graced the occasion as the chief guest. She addressed the gathering with her heartfelt words of gratitude and appreciation for the grandparents. She advised the students that the love and care one gets from their grandparents can never be replaced and so the younger generation should always show them the same love, affection and respect.

The students entertained the grandparents with a few mesmerizing dance performances and games. The smiling face of the grandparents was worth watching and they participated with much enthusiasm and energy.

Moksha Muthamma compered the programme. Laxmi welcomed the gathering and Rishitha proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was witnessed by Sr Norine D’Souza, the principal, staff coordinators Avitha and Hariet, the staff and students of the college.
