Bantwal: Carmel Degree College holds student council inauguration

Bantwal, Sep 22: The student cabinet of Carmel Degree College for the new academic year was formally inaugurated in the college auditorium. The programme began with a prayer song followed by a welcome dance.

Dr Prakashchandra, principal of GFGC Bantwal, was the chief guest. The chief guest in his address motivated the cabinet members to work with confidence, competence and enthusiasm. He also mentioned the role and functions of the student council. The principal Dr Sr Latha Fernandes AC handed over the college flag to the student council leaders, President Alvisha III BCom, secretary Ramzeena III BCom, as a sign of taking up the responsibilities. She also advised the cabinet team to do their best and to work with team spirit.

The principal handed over badges to office bearers and administered the oath taking ceremony by all the student council leaders, secretaries of various associations and departments and class representatives.

The program was coordinated by Joel Mascarenhas, lecturer in commerce.

Asiya III BCom compered the programme. Mustafa III BCom delivered a vote of thanks.
