Mangaluru, Sep 18: The collaborative interaction between the school, parents, teachers and students is what makes it possible to make the best learning outcome. The students, who are the pillars of tomorrow require constant motivation, support and timely instructions.
To prepare themselves for the board examination, an effective session on the identification of learning style, art of parenting, and procrastination, was presented to the students and parents.
St Agnes School CBSE organised an educative and informative session for the parents and students at Block II Hall on September 14. Dr Shwetha Kamath, freelance school counsellor and remedial educator was the resource person for the day. She has vast expertise in moulding and shaping students globally and conducts online and offline sessions for students. Her expertise proved to be beneficial for both students and parents.
She touched upon various goals and challenges for students, helped them to identify their learning styles and choose the best.She highlighted on the important topic on procrastination and gave different techniques to device time management. Certain tips on effective learning was briefed upon.
She highlighted the parents about the importance and techniques on handling teenagers and how to deal with it. The various techniques of identification of teenage problems and the various methods to be implemented were briefed.
Nisha Fernandes briefed the parents and students on assessment pattern of different projects as per board norms.
The school principal, Sr Maria Sarika AC addressed the parents and also assured them that the school would stand by the children to give them the best. Some queries of the parents were briefed on.
Velony Rosario compered the programme. Sumana welcomed and introduced the speaker and Dora proposed a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to the parents’ presence and students for being a wonderful audience.
